TEACHING GOALS

DEU Department of Statistics teaching goals are as follows:

TG1- To train statisticians who have basic statistical knowledge, methods and skills in subjects that require statistical expertise, who can think analytically, who can conduct research and development with their theoretical and practical knowledge and ethical values.

TG2- To help graduates become individuals who are sensitive to society and the environment, who can follow innovations in science and technology, who can produce rational solutions to the problems they encounter in their fields, and who work for the dissemination of a data-based decision-making culture.

TG3- To graduate statisticians who can use computer software, information and communication technologies at the level required by the field of statistics, follow innovations and are aware of lifelong learning

TG4- To train statisticians who have the necessary infrastructure to work with different disciplines, who can take part in teamwork, who have a developed sense of responsibility and duty, and who can contribute to the institutions and their country.
