Dokuz Eylül University Department of Statistics has adopted the mission of producing graduates who are knowledgeable about the age requirements, inquisitive, productive, multi-dimensional, have a sense of responsibility towards society, share, and are open to innovation. Pursuing this goal is aimed for students to gain experience by applying the theoretical knowledge they learn in classes in practice and to enter business life more equipped with this experience they gain before graduation. As a result, it is observed that students improve themselves in verbal and written communication during their internship and establish professional connections with people in the business world. Many of our students obtain job opportunities after graduation in these companies where they do their internships.
Students of the Department of Statistics must do an internship for at least 32 working days during the mid-term/summer period starting from the fourth semester during their education period. It is aimed for each student to benefit from this internship experience in the best way possible. For this purpose, a commission consisting of faculty members carries out the coordinating work related to the internship. With the meetings organized during the year, students are made aware of the internship and are ensured to successfully complete this process by gaining the most from their internships.
We would like to thank our students who have represented our department in the best way possible by showing the necessary responsibility and care to gain all the mentioned values and wish them success in their business lives.
